And it pumps and pumps and pumps ...
The pilot project of the Herborner Pumpenfabrik together with the Wey Kies AG produced astonishing results. The Herborner Pumpenfabrik checks the performance ability of its waste-water pumps out under extreme conditions.
So is since November 1999 among other things a submersible motor pump of the row of UNIVERS T in a gravel pit at Rivenich , Rheinland-Pfalz in operation.
The pump works under aggravated conditions there. A first interim report refers about the present state ..
A gravel pit is on the first look an unusual \"workplace\" for a pump.
More exactly looks will however one notice that pumps are part of an everyday working aids there.
So also in the gravel works of the company Wey in Rivenich.
The gravel wash plant (figure) of the enterprise separates the worn Mosel gravel and quartz gravel in its quality qualities.
The used washing water is after the run muddy very much and is cleaned by clarification basins, following 4 one after another, so that it can be included into the circulation again.
This can work only, if pumps are used, which accelerate the cleaning process. The washing water gets collective in the first basin, so that a first isolation can be carried out of water and mud. The risk of silting of the first basin is in this place very high and must therefore be supported by a regular pump-out operation of the wash mud (figure)
The pump from Herborn finds its working place at this decisive point.
The high ground quota in the mud leant to date on the pumps most outerly
The previous pumps were faulty every 4-5 months. The now installed UNIVERS-T pump from the Herborner Pumpenfabrik is since over 1 ½ years in the daily use (figure).
From the development department, Mr. Neuhaus, of the Herborner Pumpenfabrik, confirms: “The wear behaves absolutely to our satisfaction, the performance of the pump is still at the standard of a new pump.”
This confirmed itself also at the examination of cases and running wheel open wear.
No considerable wear on the grey cast iron pump parts could be recognized here.
The pump is in the rough industry input, since 15times mud is pumped once a day, this one is passed on to the surrounding water cleaning plants. The 3-shift work operated at the Wey Kies KG asked for highly reliable products of Herborner Pumpenfabrik. The solutions from Herborn represent an absolute prospect in front of this background, which don\'t shrink back from unusual operation places either. |
