Frequency Converter PEDC for WATERblue-H

Premium Efficiency Drive ("PEDC")frequency converter technology
for WATERblue-H
  Herborner-Pumpen-Adler

Introduction

In addition to a robust, sturdy housing, the frequency converter has optimum EMC properties with low leakage currents. For this reason, it is suited for use in private households. Due to its variable input voltages it is excellently suited for all applications in which bath water should be kept moving using the pumps of the WATERblue-H construction series.

Properties

Whether for wall or direct mounting, the PEDC is always the suitable solution. Its attractive design, which successfully harmonises with the WATERblue-H, rounds off the overall picture. With the PEDC and the selectable, highly efficient permanent magnet motors, up to 50% energy savings can be achieved through an infinitely variable speed control that is adaptable to all operating conditions.

Function

Three different fixed speeds are available (Normal operation, Speed 1, and Speed 2; see the figure at the right) that can be infinitely adjusted using two buttons independently of each other. In addition, the PEDC has a start/stop button. The optical signals are shown via LEDs. The red Error LED and green Power LED inform the user about the respective operating state of the PEDCs. The most important warning messages are also signalled by the Error LED. In addition to the functionality of the display, the frequency converter has various protective functions, such as the prevention of undervoltages or overvoltages or protection against the freezing of the medium.

Control system

  Modular structural design
Easy and fast adaption to the motor
Same sizes for all output classes up to 2.2 kW
  Uniform software

For external actuation, digital and analogue inputs and digital outputs are available for all kinds of requirements. The converter is always equipped with current monitoring that detects an underload or an overload and thus protects the pump from damage. In this way, the service life can be considerably extended.
