The most efficient drive solution for wastewater engineering
Herborner Pumpenfabrik has optimised the field of wastewater engineering with great innovative power and considerably improved the energy efficiency of its pump motor technology. The use of powerful, extremely efficient PM motors (Permanent Magnet motors) not only enables Herborner wastewater block pumps to save huge amounts of energy, they also work up to 13 per cent more effectively. The PM motors of today already continuously achieve efficiency levels that comply with the Premium Efficiency Class (IE3). In addition, the UNIVERS-T model submersible pumps are now also fitted with the new IE3-class motors in order to boost efficiency to the highest possible level in this area too. Thus a universal concept is used with powerful hydraulic systems performing at the highest level of process reliability and efficiency due to the new types of motor. Life-cycle costs are thus kept to an absolute minimum. |

Tauchmotorpumpen der Baureihe UNIVERS-T eignen sich besonders gut zum Fördern von ungereinigtem
Abwasser und Schmutzwasser. Jetzt auch mit hocheffizienten Motoren und Wirkungsgraden nach IE3 erhältlich.
Advantages compared to asynchronous motors
The new PM motors have several key advantages over the asynchronous motors generally used in wastewater engineering. Asynchronous motors are less effective than synchronous motors because of the rotor slip. The smaller the asynchronous motor, the greater the loss of performance and therefore the lower the effectiveness. PM motors provide the optimum alternative for this type of application. They operate far more effectively and already today surpass the output efficiency of IE3-grouped motors, i.e. they are more efficient than required for IE3 in accordance with the IEC code. If the pump is additionally run at lower revolutions by means of the frequency inverter needed for its operation, the motor runs even more efficiently in the partial load range. Unlike conventional asynchronous motors, the level of effectiveness hardly drops at all in this range.
